QKD Network Simulator.

The quantum key distribution network simulator (QKDNetSim) is a simulation module designed to expend NS-3 network simulator with QKD network functionalities. The main purpose of the network simulator is the analysis of different approaches to QKD network organizations, simulation of networking technologies considering integration of QKD systems into existing telecommunications networks with reference to network security. QKD Network Simulator is part of OPENQKD activities.

The simulator module can be accessed under the webpage https://www.open-qkd.eu/

QKD Days Madrid 2022

The OPENQKD project invites you to join the QKD Days in Madrid.

This two-day event will conclude the, for QKD very engaging, year 2022 with presentations on ongoing initiatives and proposals to shape the future of the quantum communication infrastructure in Europe. Meet and discuss with leading experts on QKD, equipment suppliers and policymakers. The event will be held over a two-day period (14th and 15th of December 2022) with a different scope and target audience for each day. If you want to attend the event (single day participation is also possible), please use the registration on the right. Attendance is free!

Utility Schleswig-Holstein Netz, ADVA field trial quantum security over aerial fiber.

ADVA has collaborated with northern German power grid operator Schleswig-Holstein Netz on a field trial of quantum-secured data transport. The trial is significant, because it is the first to use a commercial system (the ADVA FSP 3000 with ConnectGuard Layer 1 encryption) to provide security based on quantum key distribution (QKD) on aerial fiber cables alongside high-voltage power lines.
