“Quantum Eastern Europe (QEE) is a 2-day online event that will bring together those stakeholders in Eastern Europe for whom quantum science and technology is relevant. The event will raise awareness and transfer knowledge about quantum science and technology, foster synergies and collaborations between academia, industry, government, and interested individuals, and thereby strengthen the quantum ecosystem in this geographical area.”
ADVA has collaborated with northern German power grid operator Schleswig-Holstein Netz on a field trial of quantum-secured data transport. The trial is significant, because it is the first to use a commercial system (the ADVA FSP 3000 with ConnectGuard Layer 1 encryption) to provide security based on quantum key distribution (QKD) on aerial fiber cables alongside high-voltage power lines.
BT and Toshiba, along with EY launched the trial of a world first commercial quantum secured metro network.
In order to support the EuroQCI initiative and the preparation of the first round of calls in DEP program AIT has launched a website to facilitate exchange of information and to offer an advertisement space for QKD products and services – https://quantum.ait.ac.at/
The calls have been published on the European Commission website.
Online platform to learn and interact with quantum networks through simulation and quantum hardware.
The usual crosstalk from telecom channels to the quantum channel could be minimized by using a hollow-core-fiber cable.
The new fiber network will connect sites in London’s Docklands, the City, and the M4 Corridor. BT will use the infrastructure to supply data services protected by quantum key distribution and post-quantum cryptography.
The Quantum Industry Day gathers academic and industrial R&D to foster exchange and accelerate the development of new quantum products.
The Project Consortium organized on 28.09.2021 workshop on standardization of QKD technologies.
